How to Choose Fabric for Quick-Dry UV Protection Clothing
Compare fabric composition, weight, construction, stretch, drying behavior and testing questions when developing quick-dry UV protection clothing.
Quick-dry UV protection clothing needs a fabric plan that considers both comfort and supported performance claims. Fiber content alone does not determine how a finished shirt feels, dries or performs outdoors.
Look beyond fiber names
Ask about the actual knit or woven construction, weight, yarn, stretch, surface texture, color options and finishing. Two fabrics with similar fiber percentages can behave differently in wear and care.
Balance drying and comfort
