How to Prepare a Hoodie Tech Pack for Custom Production

A manufacturer-ready hoodie tech pack checklist covering fit, fabric, hood, rib, zippers, pockets, artwork, labels, measurements and packaging.

A hoodie tech pack helps a manufacturer turn a design idea into a measurable product. It should reduce assumptions about fit and construction instead of simply presenting a front sketch.
Start with the measurement chart
List body length, chest, shoulder, sleeve, cuff, hem, hood opening, hood height, pocket dimensions and all key points of measure. Add tolerances and grading rules where available.
Describe the fabric and trims
Include composition, weight, inside finish, color reference, rib specification, drawcord, eyelet, zipper and thread details. Identify which items are fixed and which can be proposed by the supplier.
Show construction clearly
Use front, back and detail flats for hood attachment, pocket opening, zipper, cuffs, hem, seams and artwork placements. Add notes for topstitching, bartacks and reinforcement where relevant.
Add branding and packing
Include label artwork, logo files, placement measurements, decoration method, care information, hangtags, folding and carton requirements.
Honch Apparel can review a hoodie tech pack and identify the information needed for sampling and bulk production. Send your file and target quantity to begin.
