Moisture-Wicking T-Shirts for Dutch Running and Cycling Brands
How Dutch running and cycling brands can plan moisture-wicking T-shirts with the right fabric, fit, ventilation, branding and sample approvals.
Dutch running and cycling brands often need lightweight tops that feel comfortable during changing weather and repeated training. A moisture-wicking T-shirt should be planned as a complete product system, not selected from a fabric name alone.
Match the fabric to the use case
Consider fabric weight, stretch, surface texture, ventilation and drying behavior together. A lightweight knit may suit high-output training, while a more structured fabric can be useful for teamwear or retail products that need a cleaner drape.
Plan fit for movement
Specify whether the garment is relaxed, regular, slim or race-inspired. Record body measurements, garment measurements, sleeve length, hem shape and size grading. For cycling or running, also review how the garment behaves when the wearer bends, reaches and carries a layer.
Branding for team and retail programs
Decide early between screen print, transfer, sublimation, embroidery or woven labels. Large artwork, reflective details and multi-color graphics can affect fabric selection and production steps, so include placements and artwork files in the tech pack.
Sample approval and repeat orders
Wash and wear-test the sample before bulk approval. Check color, print adhesion, seam comfort, shrinkage and drying feel. Keep an approved sample and measurement chart for future reorders.
